Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you always.
It is officially winter in Minnesota. This week we have had snow, blowing and subzero temperatures. Friday morning on my way to work, I got stuck at the end of our driveway. The snowplows had come down our road during the night to bench back the snow, leaving a drift at the end of our driveway. As I was building up momentum to push through the drift, a car was coming down the road. I had to stop before reaching the drift where there just happened to be a patch of ice. After the car passed as I drove forward, I spun on the ice only to move into the wall of snow left from the night before by the snowplow. After several attempts to inch forward and backward, I came to a complete stop. I was stuck just feet in front of a cleared road where cars zoomed by. I called work to let them know I would be a little late. The guys asked “Do you want us to come out and give you a little push?”
It only took Mike minutes to get me out of the drift. I would have sat at the end of the driveway watching others go by all day without his help. Life is not meant to live alone.
Sometimes in life we need a little push. We can find ourselves stuck as others zoom by. Look to Jesus to guide you out of your rut and onto the cleared road again. He has great things planned for you. Accept the push and get moving.
