Happy New Year

.2018

Luke 19:3-6  He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

Happy New Years Eve! What are your plans for the new year? Many of us will spend today reflecting on the past year as we welcome and plan for the new year, 2018.

Zacchaeus was in a tough spot. Because he was short and in a large crowd, he knew he would not be able to see Jesus when he came into town. Instead of sulking and complaining, Zacchaeus climbed high into a tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus. And, because of Zacchaeus’ efforts, Jesus not only recognized the tax collector in the tree, they had dinner together at Zacchaeus’ house! What an incredible day for Zacchaeus.

As we begin a new year, how will you climb to new heights to catch a glimpse of Jesus? Step out of your comfort zone and remove all obsticals that stand in your way. I pray that your 2018 be filled with God sightings!
