Suffering

Romans 5:2-5 And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Sufferings teaches us to be steadfast and determined. Everyone handles stress and suffering differently. Some people hyper focus on the suffering causing them to spiral into depression. Others can move past the suffering by focusing on God working in their lives. Through their suffering, they learn to be steadfast and determined. Which in turn, builds character. And strong character produces trust in God and his plan for their future. They have hope.

Times of trials or suffering tend to make us either feel hopeless, or give us a sense of greater hope for what lays ahead. Don’t let stress keep you from living the life God has blessed you with. Go to God with all your sufferings, hopes and dreams.
